Upsolve

Description

Upsolve is a New York-based non-profit organization, with a mission is to help low-income families who cannot afford lawyers file bankruptcy for free, using an online web app. Upsolve is basically a nonprofit tool that helps you file bankruptcy for free. The team includes lawyers, engineers, and judges. They have two main goals: (1) to help as many people as possible with the upsolve app, and to (2) advocate for a more accessible, just legal system where people can solve their own legal problems when they can’t afford help. It is one of the greatest civil rights injustices that low-income families can’t access their basic rights when they can’t afford to pay for help. Combining direct services and advocacy, they are fighting these injustices. Upsolve’s education, tools, and online community help millions of families to overcome their debt, access their rights, and rebuild their financial situation. Their website has resources and information about basic concepts relating to bankruptcy law.
