Equal Access Birmingham, or EAB, is a free clinic that provides medical care to the medically underserved in The Greater Birmingham Community. This student led clinic is supported by the Office of Undergraduate Medical Education of the University of Alabama School of Medicine, or UASOM. Equal Access Birmingham strives to provide meaningful continuity of care, and a valuable learning service to both patients and providers. This volunteer staff serves medically underinsured individuals with a health concern, or have not seen a doctor in a while. Services include primary care, pharmacy, health education, community health screenings, physical therapy, and social services. For additional care and services not offered by Equal Access Birmingham, they refer patients out to other local programs. Equal Access Birmingham accepts virtual appointments, in-person appointments, and walk ins until 4:00pm on Sundays.
