Mile High United Way

Mile High United Way

Description

Mile High United Way works in collaboration with the community to address the most vital human services issues in Colorado's metro areas. They serve the Denver, Boulder and Broomfield areas, as well as outlying areas in the seven-county footprint. Their mission is to bring community members, service initiatives and resources together for the greater good of the entire community. Mile High United Way operates a number of programs that serve all ages and backgrounds. The 2-1-1 Help Center is a community resource that works across Colorado to assist individuals with obtaining vital services from food support to housing and shelters, as well as financial assistance for rent, childcare and medical services. Bridging the Gap also works with children exiting the welfare system to provide support as they transition into adulthood, which helps prevent juvenile incarceration and housing emergencies for the state's young adults. United for Families, another of their programs, assists families in need with access to quality early childhood educational opportunities.
