Americares Free Clinics

Description

Americares Free Clinics is a nonprofit organization that provides quality health care services at no cost to low income residents across Fairfield County, Connecticut. Since their foundation in 1994, Americares Free Clinics has become the biggest free clinic in the state and expanded to four locations in Norwalk, Stamford, Bridgeport and Danbury. This volunteer run clinic serves as a lifeline for over uninsured 3,000 patients per year through both virtual and in-person visits. Health care services provided include diagnosis and treatment of chronic conditions, x-ray and laboratory testing, essential medications, physical exams for school or employment reasons, and referrals for specialty care. To be considered eligible for services, individuals must be over the age of 18, be without health insurance or the ability to acquire it, meet impoverished income guidelines, and provide proof of income and residency. Contact Americares Free Clinics directly for answers to any questions and more information on their free health care services.
