Community Resource Center

Description

Community Resource Center is a nonprofit organization operated by volunteers dedicated to supporting low-income individuals. The organization partners with state-sponsored and community organizations to assist with state services, access to libraries, support applying for and maintaining WIC services, and assistance for individuals experiencing housing crisis. Community Resource Center operates as a centralized location for community members in need. Their mission is to identify the unique needs of each individual or family, coordinate access to community resources, provide direct support for individuals and families in crisis, facilitate financial support when necessary and help develop collaborative relationships between community organizations. Services include the Food Rescue Program, which serves individuals and families unable to purchase enough food each week. The Community Outreach Program offers emergency financial assistance to families in crisis. The Job Center helps orient and prepare community members for the workforce, while the Day Center provides ongoing support for individuals experiencing homelessness.
