CHARG Resource Center is a community-based mental health center in the Capitol Hill area of Denver, Colorado. At their Heartland Clinic, they offer personalized treatment options such as individual counseling, medication management, therapeutic group and recreational activities, case management and monitoring overall health, including dental. CHARG provides services for individuals managing a variety of mental health conditions including schizophrenia, anxiety disorders, major depression, and bipolar disorder. They offer skills training and an employment program for members and also provide opportunities to get involved with advocacy and leadership to have a direct role in governing the organization. CHARG's Drop-In Center is a peer-run program and an inviting community where you can connect with others in a safe, healing environment. They also have small food and clothing banks, in addition to computers with free Internet access. There are groups, classes, and outings offered, as well as lunch on Tuesdays for $1.50. The Speakers Bureau program at CHARG provides training and support to individuals managing mental health conditions who want to use their experience and their voice to help reduce stigma.
