Volunteers of America Massachusetts

Volunteers of America Massachusetts is a nonprofit organization committed to improving the community around them. The organization was initially founded in 1896 and incorporated in 1934. Since its inception, Volunteers of American Massachusetts has been rooted in service to the community, including assistance for individuals facing food insecurity and those who do not have access to proper medical care. Today, the mission of the organization is to assist the most vulnerable and underserved communities of Massachusetts to overcome the various barriers they face to safe, stable living. The organization offers holistic services to address individualized needs across multiple areas, such as mental health care, job development and housing services. All eligible participants receive a dedicated care team comprised of individuals with expertise in diverse sectors. This approach allows Volunteers of America Massachusetts to assist all barriers at once and improve the livelihood of community members who may otherwise go ignored.
