Boston 10 Point Coalition
Description
The Boston TenPoint Coalition (BTPC) is an ecumenical group of Christian clergy and lay leaders working to mobilize the community around issues affecting Black and Latino youth. Each program of BTPC exists to provide open dialogue and positively re-direct silos of recidivism. The very premise of their work centers on the fact that not one lone solution can solve an issue, but mountains are moved by multiple efforts representing different sectors of the population working together around the common notion that it is not okay for youth dangers to exist in any community. To achieve its vision and goals, BTPC seeks to promote and campaign for a cultural shift to help reduce youth violence, acknowledge and respond to the impact of trauma as a physical and emotional reality, provide youth advocacy and one-on-one mentoring for high-risk youth, and much more.
