California Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation – Male Community Reentry Program

Description

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation Male Community Reentry Program serves eligible incarcerated men. The program is entirely voluntary and is available to men who are within two years of exiting the correctional system. Eligible individuals are able to serve the final two years of their sentence under community supervision, rather than incarcerated in a correctional facility. The Division of Rehabilitative Programs operates the program. The purpose of the program is to offer rehabilitative services for men recovering from chemical dependence, mental health and medical care services when necessary, workforce development and residential services. Individuals must meet eligibility criteria described on the Male Community Reentry Program website. All participants in the program must consent to electronic monitoring throughout their time in the program. Those with violent offenses, active felonies or immigration warrants may be ineligible to enter the program. Individuals can contact the program for more information or to discuss available services.
