Catholic Prison Ministries Coalition (CPMC)

Catholic Prison Ministries Coalition, or CPMC, is a faith-based organization serving people affected by incarceration. CPMC aims to create a more just and merciful criminal justice system that upholds the dignity of every human and advances restorative justice. Through a collaborative effort, Catholic Prison Ministries Coalition educates, equips, and accompanies all those seeking ministry for people affected by incarceration. CPMC is a shared virtual space for best practices, interest group dialogue, and collaboration. They offer educational webinars and a database of organizations and resources. The resources offered include juvenile ministry, pen pal programs, opportunities for joint action and legislation on behalf of criminal justice reform, and promotion of restorative justice practices Additonally, CPMC collects resources that address numerous prison-related issues such as advocacy, Catholic Social Teaching, poverty, racism, and the connections to the Catholic Church.
