Chrysalis is a nonprofit organization that works to transform lives by providing free employment opportunities to individuals in need. Founded in 1984 and now operating out of five different locations in California, the collective mission is to create a community where all people have the ability to thrive in the workforce. Their core employment philosophy is to to meet individuals where they are in life and support them during each phase of their self-directed employment search. Chrysalis helps empower their clients to overcome barriers in employment by offering individualized support services, referrals to community partners, job search toolkit, employment preparation classes, computer lab, telephone access, resume writing, practice interviews, professional attire, hygiene items, job-readiness program, and paid transitional employment. Through their employment services, clients are able to maintain gainful employment and establish stability and security.
