Earthjustice

Earthjustice is a nonprofit environmental law organization that works to protect the environment and public health through advocacy, litigation, and policy reform. The organization represents clients in court to ensure that laws protecting the environment are enforced and strengthened. Earthjustice focuses on a wide range of environmental issues, including climate change, energy, wildlife protection, and clean water.
Earthjustice will consider qualified applicants with a criminal history pursuant to the California Fair Chance Act, and any applicable local ordinance. Individuals do not need to disclose their criminal history or participate in a background check until a conditional job offer is made. After that, if Earthjustice is concerned about conviction that is directly related to the job, individuals will get a chance to explain the circumstances surrounding the conviction, provide mitigating evidence, or challenge the accuracy of the background report. Contact the organization directly to know about their hiring policy and process.
