Education Services of Greater Washington is a community based organization dedicated to offering essential programming to individuals in need. Their mission is to create and support life-long learners through a series of optimal education and career development experiences. Education Services of Greater Washington offers programs in three areas: education, job readiness and specialized training. Education programs assist individuals with the successful completion of high school and persistence during their educational pursuits. Job readiness programs target the essential skills and needs of those who entering the workforce, especially for those who may face barriers to employment due to criminal records. Specialized training programs pair participants with mentors for training and development that are more specifically tailored to each individual. The Phoenix Reentry Training program, for example, offers services designed to help facilitate a successful and permanent return to the community after incarceration.
