F.I.G.H.T ( Formerly Incarcerated Group Healing Together) is a Washington-based community service organization dedicated to assisting, advising and counseling Asian & Pacific Islander (API) descent men and women who are currently incarcerated or have been released. F.I.G.H.T also focuses on eliminating the practice of Deportation among the API and people of other ethnicities. They offer reliance after release, education and resources to successfully reintegrate into society. F.I.G.H.T works inside prison and assists with post-incarceration services such as transitional housing, GED education, mental health referral; mentoring and internal education including peer assistance and counseling, self-sufficiency, self-reflection; job skills such as vocational job training, steps 2 freedom project and second chance employers project. Their community engagement work involves reintegration and volunteer work along with advocacy services such as immigration reform, education to prison to deportation, local and national organization support.
