FIVCO Reentry Council
Description
The Northeast Kentucky Reentry Council is a community-based organization that provides reentry-related assistance to reentering citizens. The Northeast Kentucky Reentry Council is made up of the Buffalo Trace Area Development District (Bracken, Mason, Robertson, Fleming, and Lewis counties) and the Gateway Area Development District (Rowan, Bath, Montgomery, Menifee, and Morgan counties). Their mission is to advocate and develop successful reentry opportunities in our local communities, raising awareness while enhancing public safety and reducing recidivism. This Council is an initiative by the Kentucky Department of Corrections, Division of Reentry Services. They provide evidence-based and promising practices programming to empower the justice-involved population with prosocial thinking, coping and life skills. Moreover, the division works with the justice-involved population to enhance communities by aiding in the transition of the individuals becoming prosocial members of society.
