Idaho Legal Aid is a state-wide nonprofit organization focused on advocacy and social justice for underserved communities. They serve low-income individuals and families across Idaho by ensuring that all members of the community have equal access to justice, representation, advocacy and education. Their services include assistance leaving domestic violence situations, counseling and support for victims of sexual violence, advocacy for children experiencing abuse and/or neglect, support during housing emergencies and advocacy for victims of discrimination. Their focus is on individuals who meet income qualifications and those over the age of 60 who require support through civil legal issues. Idaho Legal Aid does not provide services in criminal complaints or charges. All individuals must complete an application and intake interview to determine whether or not Idaho Legal Aid can serve their needs. This application is available on the organization website, but individuals with limited access to computers may complete the application over the phone with a representative of Idaho Legal Aid.
