Illinois Institute For Community Law and Affairs
Description
Illinois Institute For Community Law and Affair's purpose is to advocate for reform of the ineffective corrections (prisons) system in Illinois. The Institute studies issues related to corrections, identifies critical problems, studies possible solutions, drawing upon the advice and participation of incarcerated people, formerly incarcerated people, specialists in the area and other professionals and academics; and then advocates for the adoption of policies that have promise. They offer a variety of resources including community resources, support, education, and networking for formerly incarcerated individuals, affected families, and others simply interested in awareness and advocacy.
