James City County Colonial Community Corrections is a division of the police department in James City County. Colonial Community Corrections (CCC) enhances public safety, empowers its clients and improves the quality of our community by providing judicial alternatives to adult incarceration, transitional services and criminal justice planning to the localities they serve. A defendant referred by the court to Colonial Community Corrections is responsible for contacting this agency. The defendant must contact this agency within three working days of their court action or release from confinement. In addition, the defendant should call CCC to schedule an intake appointment. The CCC officials will ask various questions during the intake process, such as demographics, instant offense, current charges, known disposition, conditions of supervision, court costs and fines, victim relationship with the defendant, substance abuse assessment and more. When visiting CCC, the defendant must bring all documentation they receive from the court and two references.
