Juneau Job Center
Description
Juneau Job Center is a program provided by Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development to assist individuals in gaining highly important employment skills. Participants must be registered with myAlaska to access the AlaskaJobs program to sign up for workshops and review workshop times, as they may have changed. Auxiliary aids and services are available upon request to individuals with disabilities. Workshop services include resumé writing, employment after incarceration, interviewing skills, WorkKeys curriculum, Division of Vocational rehabilitation (DVr) orientation, and WorkKeys testing. They also provide assistance writing cover letters, job hunting, and run local job fairs. Due to Covid19, in-person workshops may not currently be available, but Juneau Job Center provides a virtual workshops schedule instead.
