Description
KIDS Legal is a youth advocacy and support organization dedicated to protecting the rights of young people and ensuring justice for all. Staff and volunteers believe that injustices against children can affect them for the rest of their lives. They are dedicated to addressing the most important needs of at-risk youth and children vulnerable to entering the justice system throughout Maine. The goal of KIDS Legal is protect the safety and security of children, ensure their wellness and promote ongoing access to quality educational systems. KIDS Legal offers direct representation for qualifying children, young people and their caregivers, as well as legal advice and counsel, trainings and workshops for the greater Maine community. KIDS Legal remains open during the pandemic and encourages potential clients to participate in a live in-take interview. They can do this by calling KIDS Legal during regularly scheduled hours. Each county has a designated call center number for new clients which can be found on the website.
