Mental Health Colorado

Description

Mental Health Colorado is a nonprofit agency that promotes mental wellness through policy change in the Denver, Colorado area. Since their inception in 1953 as the Colorado Association for Mental Health, this organization has sought to dismantle stigmas and shame surrounding substance use and mental health disorders. This unbiased and compassionate approach is building a movement to create healthier minds and lives throughout the state of Colorado. Mental Health Colorado advocates for policy change through engagement with the public, press, and policy makers to end discrimination, advance mental well-being, and promote and increase equal access to mental health care services. Alongside their mental health advocacy work, Mental Health Colorado recently acquired The Equitas Project in an effort to expand on their mission and dismantle mental health from the criminal justice system. Contact Mental Health Colorado directly for answers to any questions and more information on their mental health policy work.
