Miles of Freedom (MOF) is a nonprofit organization based in Dallas, Texas that provides support and assistance to individuals and families impacted by incarceration. The organization offers a wide range of services including job training, education, housing assistance, mentoring, and transportation to help individuals successfully re-enter society after being released from prison. Miles of Freedom was founded in 2012 by Richard Miles, who was wrongfully convicted and spent 15 years in prison before being exonerated.
Miles of Freedom is dedicated to breaking the cycle of incarceration and promoting second chances for individuals who have been impacted by the criminal justice system. They equip, empower, and employ individuals returning home from prison and provide support and assistance for families and communities impacted by Incarceration.
