National Child Abuse Defense & Resource Center
Description
National Child Abuse Defense and Resource Center is a nonprofit organization that protects the rights of the wrongfully accused. Their mission is to provide advocacy and support for individuals who are facing false allegations of child abuse by educating lawyers, policymakers and the general public about the facts around child abuse. The National Child Abuse Defense and Resource Center was founded in order to conduct and disaggregate research and data related to accusations of child abuse, and to determine how ongoing research into false allegations and wrongful conviction may help inform criminal justice reform. Volunteers hope to end dangerous stigmas and prejudices that perpetuate wrongful accusation, as well as to inspire policymakers to enact change that will guarantee the more equitable treatment of all individuals regardless of their socioeconomic status. For more information about their advocacy work or their efforts to educate the public, visit the National Child Abuse Defense and Resource Center website.
