Oakland County Children’s Village

Description

Oakland County Children's Village is a community organization that offers out-of-home care to qualifying young people. The mission of Oakland County’s Children’s Village is to offer the best available support to children and young people who fall under the jurisdiction of the court and are recommended to be temporarily in need of care outside the home, including temporary custody and treatment. All services are provided in a compassionate, safe and therapeutic environment, which also serves to protect the public. Youth participants at Oakland County Children's Village receive guidance around responsible behaviors and healthy coping mechanisms. The facility includes secure detention, residential services and shelter care depending on the individual needs of each participant. The hope is that Oakland County Children's Village can assist with family reunification and give families the best chance at improving the circumstances of both children and their loved ones. For more information about specific services, contact the organization directly.
