Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention

Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention is a nationwide coalition committed to serving the nation's young people. They help facilitate intervention programs designed to offer youth an alternative to violent pathways and support young people at risk of developing chemical dependence issues. Their programs hope to intervene before youth enter the justice system. These programs are broad in scope so that all young people have an opportunity for support of their unique needs. The Children Exposed to Violence program, for example, was developed to provide concrete services to young people who have first-hand experience with domestic and/or community violence. The Human Trafficking and Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force programs intervene with youth who are survivors of human trafficking and/or who are at risk of being victimized by the child trafficking industry. Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention also facilitates program for individuals reentering the community after serving time at youth facilities and support for individuals who experienced sexual assault during incarceration.
