People For People

Description

People For People is a charity-based organization that offers resources for employment, transportation, meals and other community services. People For People is dedicated to changing lives and strengthening communities by working together. Their Community Diversion Program is a partnership with the City of Yakima to connect low-level, repeat wrongdoers to work and life skills that keep them from re-offending. The program accepts chronic criminal justice system users, misdemeanor and gross misdemeanor offenses arising out of Yakima Municipal Court if the defendant qualifies. The Youth program offers GED classes, job training, work experience, certification programs, tuition assistance and more. The WIOA program assists low-income adults with career guidance, vocational training, on the job training and work readiness skills. Priority of service is given to veterans, TANF recipients, and those lacking a GED or HS diploma. This program is offered in Yakima, Ellensburg, Sunnyside, Toppenish, Goldendale, Stevenson and White Salmon communities. Contact People For People directly for more information on their services.
