Redemption Bridge

Redemption Bridge is a nonprofit organization working in collaboration with local businesses, community leaders and educational institutions. Their mission is to act as an intermediary between these sectors, bringing the expertise of each together toward a common goal of improving the way the Arlington, Texas community supports formerly incarcerated individuals returning to the community after release. Staff work directly local, state and federal stakeholders to review and improve strategies for pre-release and post-release support of formerly incarcerated youth and adults throughout the region. Their recommendations include mandatory pre-assessment for individuals exiting the corrections system to determine individual needs, including employment, housing, transportation and health care. They also work to ensure that agencies assist with pre-registration for government programs and assistance, as well as early access to job development certification programs to help facilitate access to permanent employment.
