Description

San Diego Urban League operates a reentry program specifically for formerly incarcerated women returning home to their communities. Founded in 2010 after realizing women were often missing key reintegration services, the mission of San Diego Urban League Re-Entry Program has always been to empower women and unite families. Eligible participants receive support both in and out of correctional facilities. San Diego Urban League Re-Entry Program provides a holistic program model that includes intake assessment, one on one counseling, and expungement opportunity process. Additionally, small group classes and offered for goal setting, soft skills training, job readiness, anger management, parenting courses, financial literacy, and housing education. Once participants graduate from the program they receive personalized action plans for aftercare resources that include employment, housing, substance abuse rehabilitation and family reunification programs.
