Stepping Stones, Inc. is a licensed child welfare provider working with West Virginia's troubled youth and their families. This therapeutic program is family-centered and youth-focused to offer clients with the opportunities necessary to enhance cognitive competence, internalize coping skills and develop an "I Can" attitude. Stepping Stones mission is to help kids realize their potential and strengthen relationships with family and community through restructuring, re-education and reintegration. The Therapeutic Residential Program services are geared toward male youth ages 12 to 17 that may have experienced a diversity of behavioral or emotional trauma. They also accept referrals from the WV Department of Juvenile Probation. The Youth Transition Project (YTP) focuses on youth ages 16 to 23 that are transitioning from foster care or experiencing homelessness. The YTP also offers comprehensive life skills, employment training, education and well-being supports provided by the broader community.
