Teton Youth and Family Services
Teton Youth and Family Services (TYFS) is an independent non-profit organization that serves children and families in Teton County. TYFS' mission is to care for the vulnerable, create an environment that is physically and emotionally safe and fosters growth and healthy change, acceptance, kindness, dignity, respect, and non-judgment, values that create an environment for risk taking, knowing that any attempt at change is a risk, providing the opportunities for youth and families to maximize potential and providing the opportunity for youth and families to experience supportive relationships, to learn about healthy relationships.
TYFS is an umbrella organization for three entities that are crucial to child welfare in our community and state: Van Vleck House, which includes a Group Home and Crisis Center and Court Diversion Services; Red Top Meadows, which provides residential treatment and wilderness programs for adolescent males; and the Hirschfield Center for Children which provides programs for families and children as well as forensic interviews for children subject to neglect and/or abuse.
