The Bridge to Independence and Career Opportunities, or TBICO, is a nonprofit organization that provides employment support services to individuals in need. This Danbury, Connecticut based agency was founded in 1993 with a mission of promoting personal and financial self sufficiency by helping individuals help themselves. TBICO meets individuals where they are so they can learn to overcome crisis, improve their lives, and achieve and maintain economic stability. Employment support services include, but are not limited to, mock job interviews, networking opportunities, career research support, free clothing closet for business appropriate attire, skills assessment, computer skills training, and more. Alongside these support services, The Bridge to Independence and Career Opportunities offers a free career curriculum workshop that is comprehensive, employment focused, with targeted computer skills and workforce training.
