The Delores Project
The Delores Project is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting homelessness in the Denver, Colorado area. The Delores Project offers assistance to struggling women and transgender individuals as they overcome barriers to housing and work towards a transformed life, self reliance, renewed confidence and, ultimately, long-term stability. This supportive and empowering agency collaborates with individuals, community leaders, and other local agencies to provide the best care and representation on issues of community development and public policies. Nearly 450 individuals are provided with a collective 20,000 nights of shelter each year through The Delores Project. Alongside emergency temporary and permanent housing services, shelter guests are also provided with individualized case management and support services such as free clothing and personal care items, nutritious meals, hot showers, resources for health services, phone access, bus tickets and much more.
