The Faith Project
The Faith Project is a nonprofit organization committed to educating the community about the barriers that perpetuate homelessness. They work hard to provide support and housing services to veterans, individuals experiencing homelessness and those facing barriers to independent living due to criminal convictions. More specifically, The Faith Project targets individuals who continue to struggle with self-sufficient living choices due to chemical dependence. Staff and volunteers tailor their support to individuals who are recovering from addiction and believe that recovery is a lifelong process which requires ongoing assistance from community members. The Faith Project offers two housing programs, one specifically for individuals in recovery and another for individuals within 6 months of release from prison. The Re-Entry Housing program provides 6 months of housing at no cost to individuals after release, but requires a referral from a Community Supervision Officer. The Transitional Housing community is for individuals on probation or parole who are participants of Accountability Court. In addition to these programs, The Faith Project operates a second change program designed to disrupt the cycle of incarceration and ensure permanent reentry into the community.
