The Helms Academy offers free general adult education and employment services that help individuals fulfill the necessary academic requirements to get their high school diploma while simultaneously earning college credits. The Helms Academy is a free service that provides the best possible chance for students to succeed in the ever-evolving workforce. Services are primarily geared towards adults that have left traditional secondary education and are unable to return due to age and/or circumstance. The Helms Academy is operated by Goodwill Industries of Southern NJ & Philadelphia in partnership with Drexel University, Camden County College, and the Community College of Philadelphia and up to 30 college credits can be earned from these institutions. The Helms Academy offers flexible scheduling which includes online learning.
