LOOK: C.J. Stroud Joins Kim Kardashian for Prison Reform Conversation

When C.J. Stroud was 13 years old, his father was incarcerated on a 38-year-to-life sentence stemming from an incident in April 2015.
Now, Stroud joined Kim Kardashian, Michael Rubin and Bryce Young, among others, for a dinner with REFORM Alliance — an organization that, according to its website, "aims to transform probation and parole by changing laws, systems and culture to create real pathways to work and wellbeing."
The former Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback said in a statement on Twitter Sunday that he "was able to explain my story and how this issue has [affected] my life and so many more families around the country," capping off his message with "#freepops."
Coleridge Stroud III, C.J. Stroud's father, pleaded guilty to carjacking, kidnapping, robbery, evading an officer with reckless driving and misdemeanor sexual battery.
However, Coleridge Stroud III contended that "the court abused its discretion by denying his motion to strike his prior strikes under People v. Superior Court."
REFORM Alliance's founding stemmed from the online movement to help rapper Meek Mill be released from imprisonment.
REFORM's website states that "the vast majority of people trapped in the system don’t get their stories told, or have the resources to fight back" like Mill did, but their founding looked "to change this."
C.J. Stroud declared for the NFL draft Jan. 16, and now will look to be the first Ohio State quarterback taken in the top 10 in 41 years.
