Abel’s House

Abel's House is a transitional community and peer support program for individuals recovering from chemical dependence. The organization considers itself a stepping stone toward permanent recovery and sober living. They achieve this goal through a combination of life coaching, compassion and positive networking. The mission of Abel's House is to assist all individuals seeking recovery and to empower those with chemical dependence to understand their self-worth. Abel's House is a faith-based organization, and mentorship includes spiritual guidance, though participants of all religious backgrounds are welcome in the program. The organization believes that sober living requires three things: accountability, daily necessities and stable housing. By offering participants access to sober communities and peer mentorship, they encourage accountability among participants. Abel's House also provides basic necessities like clothing, food and toiletries. All participants live in a safe, sober environment with others who are committed to recovering from chemical dependence. Individuals can contact the program directly for more information.
