ACLU Florida

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) is one of the country's largest advocacy organizations focused on equal rights for all individuals. ACLU Florida's mission is to work directly with policymakers on legislation that protects constitutional rights for all Floridians. They work directly on policies that address mass incarceration, disenfranchisement and other legislative barriers that justice-impacted people face. Their No Place for a Child program works to break the cycle of youth incarceration and raise awareness about the impact of incarcerating young people. ACLU Florida is also working assisting with efforts to amend unjust voting laws and end police brutality in Florida. They are actively campaigning for civilian oversight of police in Miami-Dade county and providing important policy input toward divesting from police and redistributing funds to communities. For more information about specific projects or to request assistance with individual cases, contact ACLU Florida directly using the information on this page.
