The American Civil Liberties Union is one of the largest advocacy groups in the nation committed exclusively to equitable justice for all. ACLU Michigan is dedicated to protecting the rights afforded to individuals by the constitution, as well as effecting change through public education, community organizing and legal services. Their current campaigns are focused on equal access to voting in state and local elections, reducing incarceration rates and recidivism, protecting reproductive rights and ending police brutality. They also work directly with individuals whose rights have been violated, acting as legal advisors and, when necessary, acting as part of legal counsel.
