The American Civil Liberties Union is one of the largest advocacy organizations in the country working to ensure equal rights and constitutional protection for all individuals. ACLU West Virginia is a state-based partner of the national organization that fights to to defend individual rights in West Virginia through litigation, legislation, and public education. The mission of ACLU West Virginia is built on working daily in courts, legislations and communities to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties of the constitution. ACLU West Virginia works with communities statewide to defend and preserve individual rights and freedoms. The foundation of ACLU West Virginia is built on the core values of individual liberties, justice, and equality. ACLU West Virginia values collaboration within the organization to accomplish their goals; integrity in pursuit of their mission; and organizational leadership committed to achieving individual rights and civil liberties within the West Virginia community.
