ACLU Wisconsin

The ACLU of Wisconsin is the state affiliate of the national ACLU and is a non-profit, non-partisan, private organization. Dedicated to defending the civil liberties and civil rights of all Wisconsin residents, The ACLU of Wisconsin actively supports public policy analysis, lobbying, and advocacy efforts that advance individual rights in state and federal legislature. They analyze and protect a wide variety of civil rights issues, including freedom of religion, racial justice, reproductive rights, freedom of speech, prison reform, and more. In order to protect and improve on these issues, the ACLU of Wisconsin advocates, educates, and lobbies in order to create real, bedrock societal change. Additionally, The ACLU of Wisconsin hosts a foundation dedicated to litigation and community education.  The foundation works for change through workshops, campaigns, web-based social networking, and community activism. Overall, the ACLU of Wisconsin seeks to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties that the Constitution and laws of the United States guarantee everyone in this country.
