Section Title

Bonafide

Bonafide is a community support and advocacy group committed to improving the lives of those who have been affected by incarceration. The organization believes in providing support to justice involved individuals from the moment they are released from corrections facilities. Members of Bonafide provide gate pick-ups to those in need, meeting them immediately outside correctional facilities with material necessities and offering logistical support as they return to the community. This involves connecting them with other community resources, such as recovery centers and residential services, to help them quickly enter safe, stable living environments. Members of the organization continue to support individuals through critical adventures and peer support, two community building endeavors that are focused on establishing positive relationships in the lives of the formerly incarcerated. Individuals are eligible to receive life skills coaching through Project Candlestick if they choose.
