Butler County Community Reintegration Program

The Butler County Community Reintegration Program is a support service operated from within the Butler County Prison. Butler County Prison implemented the program in 2012 to provide targeted assistance to individuals serving three months or more in the facility. The purpose of the program is to begin addressing individual needs and potential barriers to reintegration during the incarceration period so that individuals have the best chance at successful and permanent reentry at the end of their sentences. Their goal is to ensure that the focus remains on rehabilitation and support for incarcerated individuals to disrupt the cycle of recidivism. Central areas of importance include addressing individualized needs for each participant, preparing individuals to speak before the parole board, addressing factors that put individuals at risk for re-offense and reentering the community prepared to live independently. For more information about the program, individuals should contact staff within the Butler County Prison facility.
