Capitol Hill United Ministries – Women’s Homelessness Initiative

Capitol Hill United Ministries is a non-denominational, faith-based organization working to improve inner city Denver through hospitality. The Women's Homelessness Initiative is a program sponsored by Capitol Hill United Ministries which helps support women experiencing homelessness in the Denver area. For the past nine years, the Women's Homelessness Initiative has provided shelter and basic necessities to women in need. The shelter is open every night, and is available to all women experiencing homelessness. At the shelter, staff and volunteers offer women compassion and respect, as well as an opportunity to fellowship and build community. Women at the shelter have access to cots, healthy dinners and prepared breakfast bundles to take with them in the morning. The goal of the Women's Homelessness Initiative is to help ensure safety for women experiencing homelessness each night, when they are typically at their most vulnerable. For more information about available support, contact the program directly through their website.
