Catholic Charities East Bay provides a variety of community support services to individuals in Alameda or Contra Costa counties of California. This organization was founded in 1935 as a service for community growth and social justice. Catholic Charities East Bay's housing program services include assistance with utility payments, back rent, security deposits, tenant advocacy and mediation, relocation services, housing problem solving, and homeless prevention strategies. Immigration legal services provides free phone consultations to individuals seeking asylum, VISA assistance or Special Immigrant Juvenile Status. Mental health services are also provided to individuals, families, and schools to help clients develop the tools they need to heal from trauma. Additionally, Catholic Charities East Bay runs a Day Star program that was designed to empower young people impacted by human trafficking and sexual exploitation. Clients of this program will learn how to rebuild relationships, establish better awareness and receive advocacy resources.
