Churches United for the Homeless is a faith based organization offering residential services to community members in need. The organization offers residential services, emergency shelter and an accessible food pantry for individuals and families in the greater Fargo-Moorhead area who are experiencing homelessness. Churches United is committed to helping community members address the barriers that perpetuate homelessness and overcome chronic housing insecurity so that they can work toward permanent, stable living solutions. Currently, Churches United includes a partnership of almost 60 congregations across the region to ensure that individuals can readily access support and receive spiritual healing. While the organization is faith based and believes in the power of Christian ideals, residents within the program are not required to participate in religious activities in order to receive services. Their goal is to help address the growing problem of chronic housing insecurity in the area, and to improve the community as a whole.
