Section Title

Connecticut Board of Pardons and Paroles

The Connecticut Board of Pardons and Paroles facilitates all applications for pardon or parole from state corrections facilities. Their website offers vital information about the process for parole hearings, including assistance for loved ones and/or victims who wish to attend parole hearings. The website also houses information for individuals seeking compassionate release. Individuals can make an application for Absolute Pardon to the Pardons Board. An Absolute Pardon refers to the complete erasure of your criminal record three (3) years after the date of disposition of your most recent misdemeanor conviction and five (5) years after the date of disposition of your most recent felony conviction. Individuals are unable to apply for erasure of one offense and not another. Only a complete criminal history will be considered for a full pardon. The goal of the Board of Pardons and Paroles is to facilitate the successful and permanent reintegration of formerly incarcerated individuals into the community.
