Creating Excellence In Reentry (CEIR) Program Goodwill of Central Iowa

Creating Excellence in Re-Entry is a community based collaborative that assists individuals returning to the community. Their goal is to provide a viable pathway to permanent, sustainable job opportunity. Their seven-week program connects clients with community partners that provide paid, on-the-job training and skills development, as well as any necessary certifications and support overcoming the barriers that justice involved individuals face on reentry. Current partners include: Goodwill of Central Iowa, Evelyn K. Davis Center for Working Families, Fifth Judicial District and Society of St. Vincent de Paul, among others. Creating Excellence in Re-Entry also helps to refer clients to vocational services programs like Dad's With a Purpose, Men on the Move, Iowa Legal Aid and iowaWorks. All participants combine workshop style classes with real world experience to make them well-rounded employees.
