Cross and Key Prison Ministries is a faith based organization that provides spiritual guidance and mentorship to incarcerated individuals. Their mission is to help reduce recidivism and improve the lives of justice involved individuals by bringing them closer to God. Staff and volunteers hope to provide churches in correctional facilities with support, and to educate the community about criminal justice issues that create barriers for individuals and their loved ones. Disciple Prison Ministry is the primary program facilitated by Cross and Key Prison Ministries. They work to ensure that all participants in the program become more literate in the bible and develop a personal relationship with Christ. They also work to educate incarcerated individuals about acting as witnesses for other individuals, as well as to educate the community about the need for compassion and support for formerly incarcerated individuals as they reenter the community.
