D.C. Reentry Navigator

D.C. Reentry Navigator is an expansive and comprehensive resource developed by the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia. This resource includes more than 900 pages of expert information and a catalog of resources for individuals who are reentering the community after incarceration. The Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia makes the D.C. Reentry Navigator available for free as a .pdf publication to ensure that all individuals have access to the resource regardless of their circumstances. Inside the D.C. Reentry Navigator, individuals will find information organized into chapters to assist individuals with finding the most relevant information. Some chapters address reentry after federal incarceration, while others focus on reentry from District of Columbia jails. Each chapter addresses one of the key barriers to successful reintegration, such as the conditions of parole and probation, how to obtain government identification and available resources for individual needs in the D.C. area.
