DC Project Connect

DC Project Connect offers intervention services for individuals in crisis and their loved ones, as well as reintegration support. Their mission is to intervene with those affected by incarceration, offering assistance at all stages in the justice system and providing targeted support for individuals returning to the community after incarceration. As a nonprofit organization, DC Project Connect relies on volunteers from the community. These volunteers act as mentors to women and mothers during pre-release, helping to facilitate family reunification and ensure that formerly incarcerated women have a safe, sustainable plan once they reintegrate. In addition to direct support and mentorship, DC Project Connect acts as an advocate for the rights of incarcerated and formerly incarcerated individuals by providing vital information to the community and encouraging community stakeholders to get involved with justice reform. For more information about specific services or to volunteer with the organization, contact them directly using the information on this page.
